You don't have to mute the whole ballpark to get rid of the broadcast voices in MLB The Show 26. The Audio tab lets you adjust individual sound levels, so you can keep the crowd and on-field effects while bringing commentary down to zero. Whether you're building a roster with MLB 26 stubs or settling into a Franchise season, it's worth sorting out your sound preferences before another long session. Start with the voices rather than the master volume. That way, the game still sounds like baseball.

Give the booth a rest

After enough innings, you may find yourself hearing familiar commentary more than you'd like. Nothing wrong with wanting a break. Without the announcers, there's room for a playlist, a podcast, or just the sound of the next pitch hitting the catcher's glove. Some players also prefer less talking when they're watching a delivery and deciding whether to swing. It won't make those decisions for you, but it can make the experience feel less crowded. Keep the sounds you enjoy. There's no need to turn a lively stadium into complete silence.

Find the right settings menu

From the main home screen, head to the gear icon in the upper-right corner. Open Settings, then choose User Settings. You'll see several tabs across the top; move across to Audio. This is where you can separate the broadcast voices from the rest of the game's sound. Don't change every slider at once. If your only complaint is repetitive commentary, leave the other levels alone for now. It's easier to judge the difference when you've changed one thing rather than rebuilt the entire audio setup.

Open Settings from the home screen.

Select User Settings, then Audio.

Locate Commentary Volume.

Keep the stadium, lose the talking

Move Commentary Volume all the way left until it reaches zero. Be careful not to lower Master Volume instead, since that affects the overall sound rather than just the announcers. Crowd noise, effects, stadium music, and the public address voice have their own controls. You can adjust those separately if they're competing with whatever you're listening to outside the game. A quick comparison helps keep the changes focused, especially if you still want umpire calls and the crack of the bat to come through.

Commentary VolumeSet to zero.
Master VolumeLeave unchanged.
Crowd and effectsAdjust to taste.

Try it for an inning

Back out using the button shown on your screen, such as Circle on PlayStation, then head into a game to check your preferences. Listen for a few pitches before making more changes. If you're browsing MLB The Show 26 buy stubs options between sessions, take a moment to get this setting right too. You can return to the same menu whenever you want the broadcast voices back. For now, let the crowd react and give yourself a little less talking to listen to.
